"ตำนานรักอ่าวนาคาเล ภูเก็ต “ความรักที่ถูกพราก แต่ไม่เคยจากไป”
โดยส่วนตัวมีความชอบ ต้นไม้ สิ่งปลูกสร้างที่ทำมาจากไม้ เพราะรู้สึกว่าได้ใกล้ชิดกับธรรมชาติ ตั้งแต่เด็กมา ในบริเวณบ้านจะอุดมไปด้วยพันธ์ไม้นานาชนิด ทั้งไม้ดอก ไม้ผล
เคยมาทำงานที่ภูเก็ตเมื่อสิบกว่าปีที่แล้ว ได้มีโอกาสขับรถผ่านโรงแรมถาวรบีชวิลเลจหลายครั้ง เห็นไกลๆว่าร่มรื่น มาก
จนวันนี้ ได้มีโอกาสเข้ามาสัมผัส ร่มรื่นตามที่คาดหวังไว้ แต่ตอนนี้อยากพูดถึงเรื่องต้นไม้ใหญ่ที่โดดเด่นเป็นสง่า แก่ผู้พบเห็นเป็นอย่างมาก กลางวันร่มรื่น กลางคืนเมื่อต้องแสงไฟยิ่งดูโดดเด่นเป็นสง่ามากขึ้นไปอีก แต่เท่านี้ยังไม่พอ
เมื่อได้ทราบเรื่องราวที่ทางโรงแรมเขียนไว้ได้อย่างมีมิติ ในความสวยงามของความรัก ยิ่งรู้สึกชอบมากขึ้นไปอีก
เป็นตำนานของอ่าวนาคาเล ที่ได้เขียนไว้ มีหญิงสาวชื่อมาริสา ได้พบรักกับพญานาคา ทั้งสองรักกันมาก จนนาคาเอ่ยปากชวนเธอไปอยู่ด้วยกันในทะเล โดยเปลี่ยนเธอเป็นนางเงือก ได้ครองคู่อยู่ด้วย
แต่ไม่นาน ได้เกิดพายุมรสุมขึ้น และได้คร่าชีวิตหญิงอันเป็นที่รักไป ทำให้นาคาเศร้าโศกเสียใจมากที่คนรักจากไปอย่างไม่มีวันกลับ
ในตำนานกล่าวไว้ว่า ในที่สุดมาริสาได้กลับมาอยู่ที่หาดของเธอ โดยใช้ต้นเลียบใหญ่ ที่มีอายุหลายร้อยปีนี้เป็นที่พักพิง
พญานาคานั้นก็ได้ตามคนรักมาที่หาดนี้ และใช้ตัวเองโอบล้อมต้นไม้นี้ไว้ จนเป็นที่มาของอ่าวนาคาเล โดยทุกวันนี้จะเห็นพญานาคา นอนโอบล้อมคอยปกป้องหญิงคนรักไว้ อย่างอบอุ่น เราจึงเห็นภูเขาที่หินเหล่านั้นเปรียบเสมือน หลัง ลำตัวของนาคา ที่นอนโค้งโอบล้อมต้นเลียบนี้ไว้ และการเปลี่ยนแปลงของต้นเลียบในแต่ละฤดูยังเปรียบเสมือนการแสดงความรู้สึก ของมาริสาที่มีต่อพญานาคา อันเป็นที่รักของเธอ

ต้นเลียบ ในภาษาบาลีเรียกว่า “ต้นปีปผลิ” หรือ “ต้นปิลกฺโข” (พระคัมภีร์อภิธานนัปปทีปิกา) ไม้เลียบเป็นพืชที่จัดอยู่ในสกุล Ficus lacor วงศ์ Moraceae (เครดิต : เวปธรรมจัร.เน็ต/บ้านมหา.คอม)
เมื่อได้มาพบเรื่องราวที่น่าซาบซึ้งนี้ และได้มาดูต้นเลียบนี้อย่างใกล้ๆ ทำให้เห็นถึงความอลังการที่ไม้ยืนต้นที่อายุมากๆต้นนี้ แสดงความเจริญเติบโต ผ่านทางลวดลาย ที่มีมุมมีโค้ง การแผ่ขยายของราก ที่ยึดพื้นดินไว้ อย่างมั่นคงเหมือนความรักที่มีต่อกัน ของมาริสากับนาคา ในช่วงเย็นมักจะมีคู่รัก หลายๆคู่มาจองโต๊ะเพื่อทานอาหารค่ำด้วยกัน ภายใต้บบรยากาศริมหาด และความสวยงามต้นไม้แห่งตำนานรักนี้
สำหรับผมยิ่งรู้สึกถึงความสวยงามของต้นเลียบนี้ มากขึ้นไปอีก ก็อย่างที่เกริ่นไว้แต่ทีแรกล่ะครับว่า ชอบลายของไม้ หรือต้นไม้ และยิ่งรูปด้านล่างนี้ ยิ่งชอบมากขึ้นไปอีก เพราะลายความสวยงามของต้นเลียบกับผู้หญิงคนนี้ ที่ทำให้ผมสามารถ นำภาพที่นึกไว้ ถ่ายทอดออกมาได้แบบที่ผมจินตนาการ……
Nakalay Bay The Love Legend in Phuket
“Love was parted but never been passed”
I personally fond of trees and buildings made of woods since it makes me feel close to the nature. It might be because of my childhood when my house was surrounded with various trees and flowers.
It’s been ten years ago when I started working in Phuket and often drove passing by Thavorn Beach Village Nakalay Bay resort Phuket Thailand. An abundance of nature in the resort attracted me so hard. Nowadays, I’ve got a nice chance to be one with this serene and peaceful resort. Thus, I’d like to talk about an enormous tree which attract people with its peacefulness during daytime and magnificent when bathed with light during nighttime.
I’ve learned a beautiful love legend of Nakalay bay from this resort. It begins with a maiden named Marisa who later fell in love with King of Nakas. After the two people with pure heart had met each other, they fell in love and the King of Nakas persuaded Marisa to spend the rest of their life together in the ocean. Marisa was transformed into a mermaid and lived her life happily with her beloved. Unfortunately, Marisa was passed away during the furious storm. The King of Nakas grieved a lot once his beloved could not be back to life again. The legend said that Marisa’s soulless body stranded at her hometown’s bay. The King of Nakas traced his beloved until he found her body lied alone under the 100-year-old “Liab” tree. He embraced the tree and Marisa as if he would never let her go. The legend originated the name of is bay as ‘Nakalay Bay’ ever since.
You can witness the love of the King of Nakas who is embracing around the tree to protect his beloved on the Nakalay bay. The rock mountain represents his body which is lying around the tree. And the seasonal change of the tree represents the love of Marisa for her beloved – King of Nakas.

“Liab Tree” is Ficus Lacor Buch, Moraceae Family. This enormous tree lives its life hundreds of years accompanied by the tale of Marisa and King of Nakas’ love legend. It roots on the grounds firmly like the unchangeable love of them. Every evening, many couple make a reserved for dining on the bay of love legend to enjoy their memorable time together.
In my opinions, once I’ve heard about the love legend, I feel much more fascinated of this tree. Not only the shape and pattern of the tree but also the beautiful of this gorgeous woman with the tree of love you could see below represents my imagination.
